Dust Collector Description

The Vortex Box dust collection units are filtration systems with two-stage air purification. They are designed to clean dry air flows from non-sticky, non-fibrous, medium to large-sized dust particles within exhaust ventilation systems, air purification, and recirculation systems.

The filter boasts low operational costs.
Simple and convenient replacement of the filter bags through a removable external panel.

How It Works

The temperature of the moving air stream should not exceed 150°C. The air stream to be cleaned should not contain explosive mixtures.
The unit has two stages of air cleaning:

  • First stage — Inertial
Due to the expansion of the section when entering the filter, the air flow significantly reduces its speed and is directed perpendicular to the original direction. The more inertial dust particles fall out of the airflow and settle in the collector. The air flow through the inlet pipe enters the housing. Larger dust particles lose speed and fall into the dust collector.

  • Second stage — Mechanical
Cleaning occurs by trapping dust using mechanical bag filters. The exhaust device captures and removes dust formed during cleaning. The dust collector cleans the contaminated air and returns it back to the room. Fine particles are captured by filter bags, which are periodically cleaned using a manual shaking mechanism. The shaking mechanism allows the accumulated dust to be shaken off from the bag filters into the storage bunker when the fan is off. As a result, the cleaned air, passing through the fan, is expelled outside from the top of the unit's body.
The bag filters, which can be easily replaced with new ones, are cleaned by a manual shaking mechanism. The unit can be supplied in a mobile or stationary version.

Dimensions

Baghouse Design

The unit's housing is made of sheet steel and is painted with high-quality paint, providing excellent protection from environmental influences.

On the side of the unit's housing, there's an inlet duct, allowing for the connection of ventilation (process) equipment. At the top of the unit's housing, an exhaust fan or duct from a centralized exhaust ventilation system is attached. Located at the bottom of the unit's housing is a dust collector with a scoop.

Round Filter Bags

The Vortex Box filter is equipped with round bags made of non-woven material.
Steel rings are sewn into the filter bags, enhancing the shaking amplitude during the regeneration process.
Round filter bags with vibration cleaning can withstand a dust load of up to 3 g/m³.
The bags can be made from the following materials: polyester, Met-Aramid, PPS, material with an anti-static effect. The material for filter bags is chosen individually, in accordance with the technical requirements.

Dust Hopper and Its Unloading

In the standard configuration, the Vortex Box comes with a wheeled bin.

Discharge of the Captured Product

Methods of organizing the unloading at the client's choice:
  • In the basic configuration, a manual method is used - a container (bin) into which the dust falls is used.
