Description of Adsorption Filter

DHH scrubbers are hoods equipped with a droplet and mist capture system. This filter is ideal for situations where a small system is needed, such as local exhaust with pollutant retention.
Their key advantages are compactness and affordability. Unlike wet scrubbers that require a continuously running pump for nozzle irrigation, these units do not require constant electricity costs.
We designed this model specifically for electroplating facilities. Most often, such scrubbers are used to clean emissions from open tanks (baths) used in electroplating processes. When parts are immersed for treatment, evaporation or pollutant release occurs, which must be captured by the hood and purified.

Dependable Adsorber Filter: High-Purity Filtration

Low cost
The solution is designed to be budget-friendly without compromising performance.
High efficiency
The scrubber ensures maximum removal of contaminants with minimal energy consumption.
Captures droplets from 2 microns and above
Effectively traps even the smallest particles to ensure clean air output.
Compact design
The space-saving construction allows installation in confined areas.
Turnkey solution
No need for additional engineering—install the scrubber directly at the pollution source.
Minimal aerodynamic resistance
In specific cases, a dry scrubber can operate without the need for fans.

Fundamental Distinctions from Other Models

-1-
No replaceable element as an adsorbent. Contaminants are retained on the mesh-pad droplet and mist eliminator.
-2-
Used for uncontrolled emission volumes.
-3-
Dry cleaning method.

Spheres of Use

  • Galvanic processes.
  • Chemical laboratories.
  • Emissions of oil mist and lubricating fluids.
  • Mist elimination.
  • Pharmaceutical and chemical plants where pollutant concentrations and amounts are unstable (e.g., in emergency systems).
  • In cases where a conventional wet scrubber cannot be installed due to unknown emissions.
  • Acid vapors.
  • Processes where large droplets form and merge inside the gas duct.
  • Typically, such droplet eliminators are effective for droplets of 2 microns or larger, but by using multiple layers, efficiency can be improved for droplets as small as 0.2 microns or larger, with increased scrubber resistance.
  • Can be used in the same processes as wet scrubbers, provided that the pollutant can condense and collect on the surface of the mesh-pad droplet eliminator.
  • Low contamination of the airflow.

The Working Principle

A dry scrubber is a hood with a mesh-pad droplet eliminator installed.

The gas enters the structure, where it is retained on the mesh-pad, collects, and the droplets fall downward under the force of gravity, usually being discharged into a tank.
If the contaminated flow contains additional fractions, the system needs to be flushed 1-2 times a week. This can be done manually by removing the droplet eliminator and rinsing it under water, or by using an additional set-up with a pump tank and irrigation system — simply opening the valve, and the system will clean automatically.

Maintenance

Sometimes, flushing of the droplet eliminator and everything inside is required. As an additional option, we offer an automatic system: a liquid tank, a pump for the irrigating liquid, and a flushing system. It needs to be started once a week. Alternatively, it can be flushed manually by opening the service door, removing the droplet separator, and rinsing it with water.
