The contaminated air (with odors and other pollutants) enters the
CO2 scrubber housing and sequentially passes through the chemical adsorbent placed on the support-distribution grid. Pollutants are retained in the chemical adsorbent, while clean air continues to flow further.
Periodically, the chemical adsorbent needs to be replaced as it becomes saturated, reducing its filtering capacity. To replace it, the used chemical adsorbent is emptied from the grid, and a new one is added. The replacement process takes approximately 5 minutes.
