Silo Dust Collector Description

Breeze 36 Pneumatic filter was developed for cleaning silos with cylindrical cartridges installed inside the filter. It is equipped with an automatic self-cleaning pulse jet filter elements system. The filter comes with a response flange installed at the roof of the silo.
Very straightforward maintenance: no special tool is necessary to replace the filter elements. Elementary control requires no knowledge of any special programs.

How It Works

The dust-laden air rises out of the silo and enters the filter. Clean air passes through the filter cartridges and the dust is left on the exterior of the filter cartridges. The cartridge is cleaned every now and then by a compressed air impulse.

Filter Design and Arrangement

The filter design entails the possibility to manufacture various configurations which take into account the features of facilities: the height of the ceilings, the amount of free area, the positioning of the air pipes, etc.

Filter Cartridges

We use a channeled cartridge as the filtration component. Thanks to the folded structure, the filter material is placed very compactly. For instance, a single standard cartridge of Ø12.8 in, 39 in tall has a filtering surface area of 178 ft² and replaces 15-20 bags.

The filter material entails a very thin (about 0.02 in), solid material with small pores. It is rated within the F7-F9 classes in terms of Eurovent’s cleaning quality standards, outperforming in this component materials usually used in filters.

The gas goes from outside the cartridge and enters, the dust particles settle on the outside part of the filter while the clean air passes inside the cartridge and leaves the filter outside.
The filter component becomes dirty every now and it is cleaned using air impact. The concentrated impulse from the air valves shakes the filter material of the cartridge and the dust settles down into the hopper. Cleaning of the cartridge is performing without having to stop the filtration cycle.
The filter cartridges withstand a dust load of up to 2 ppm. To increase the operation load, a cyclone will need to be placed in front of the equipment.

Filter Control

Smart automation control: a guarantee of uninterrupted operation

Control of the filter is performed with the help of a controller or remote control. This system operates in a closed cycle but can be reconfigured depending on the client’s needs.
We propose packaging the filter completely with automatic control, analysis, and fire extinguishing systems etc. A time controller is installed in the standard package. A Siemens controller can also be packaged with it, depending on your needs.

Pulse Jet System

The periodically filtered cartridges have dust get “stuck” on them, which increases the filter's resistance. In order that the system works without interruption and without any variations in pressure, the bags must be cleaned. The cleaning occurs in the following way:
  1. From the top: the clean air chamber has air pipes inside it that go from the air cleaning system's diaphragm valves. These valves are installed on the receivers that the compressed air is located in, which is used for the pulse jet.
  2. The air is submitted from the compressor to the receivers. The valve functions periodically, the air is submitted through the valve into the air pipe, and it is distributed out of the air pipe with the help of the atomizer inside the filter.
  3. The filter cartridge is shaken and blown on and the dust falls down into the hopper accumulator.
  4. The dust can be extracted from the accumulator hopper in three ways depending on the technical task declared: a manual dust latch, a mechanical double dump, and an automatic gate. The standard version comes with a manual dust latch.

Pulse Jet Cleaning System Package:

Compressed air receiver package
It is the receiver that accumulates air for the air blast. If there isn't enough air, the degree of cleaning will fall, the wear on the filters will increase, and the filter's performance will fall, since the filter’s aerodynamic resistance increases. There is a connector on the receiver to the compressor or to the general factory compressed air pathway as well as a moisture drain valve.

Air pipe system
This is either metallic or plastic. It all depends on the type of gas and temperature that the filter is cleaning. Nozzles are installed on the air pipes for more efficient cleaning of the filter component.
Air valves
All valves are certified. Our valves are specialized for filter equipment air cleaning systems.

Controller
Regeneration system control is performed with the help of a special controller that configures the quantity of impulses and the frequency of the impulses.
