Old Scrubber Repair:
The repair of the existing scrubber was successfully carried out by cleaning the welding area and applying multiple layers of plastic welding to seal the cracks. Additionally, the seam was protected from ultraviolet exposure to prevent deformation and ensure long-lasting durability.
New Scrubber Selection:
The client selected a vertical scrubber similar to the one previously used but opted for a more advanced model. This upgraded scrubber features a greater number of nozzles inside, improving its overall efficiency. The new design allows for enhanced air purification and better handling of emissions and odors during the HCL tank filling process. Below are the key characteristics of the selected new scrubber model:
Scrubber Characteristics:
Model: Vertical Scrubber (upgraded version)
Purpose: Air purification of HCL emissions and odors.
Performance: Capable of handling up to 2000 cfm airflow, ensuring effective ventilation and air cleaning for the system.
Nozzle Configuration:
Increased number of nozzles inside the scrubber, improving the contact surface area for better liquid sorption and contaminant removal.
Scrubbing Method: Liquid sorption of contaminants, ensuring the efficient absorption of airborne particles, gases, and vapors.
Pressure Loss: The scrubber’s scrubbing column has a maximum pressure loss of 4 in. w.c., ensuring optimized airflow while minimizing energy loss.
Durability: Designed for continuous operation, the scrubber can handle challenging environmental conditions, including high temperatures, humidity, and exposure to UV radiation.
