Description
The PMT Wet Type Dust Collector, designed for enhanced explosion safety, is intended for cleaning air extracted by exhaust ventilation systems from medium and fine dispersed dust, including explosive fibrous and other poorly wettable dusts that tend to float to the surface. It is not recommended for use in cases where the captured dust can cement or crystallize, forming hard deposits. For dust concentrations over 10 g/m³, it is recommended to use it as a second stage, after initially cleaning the air with simple dry dust collectors, to reduce water consumption and sludge volume. Recirculation of the cleaned air removed by PMT systems is permitted, specifically for explosive dust of plant or animal origin located in various manufacturing environments, except in spaces where the air contains harmful substances that preclude the possibility of recirculation.

Dusty air enters through the inlet duct into the body, moving at high speed through the gap between the water surface and the lower edge of the partition, capturing water along. The water captured by the air is deflected by a deflector and drained to the extreme compartments. The cleaned air passes through droplet catchers and is expelled outside by a fan.

The PMT ZIK type dust collector consists of three sections: lower, middle, and upper. The lower section consists of a base-tray 1 with filters installed. The middle section consists of front panels 2 and side boxes 4, 5 forming the upper section. Guide partitions 6 are installed between the base-tray and panels, and separators 7 between the panels and upper boxes. The operating principle is based on contact between dusty air and water surface, similar to standard PMT dust collectors. Cleaned air passes through separators 7 (where excess moisture is retained and returned to the base-tray) and exits through the upper box's outlet duct 4, with a siphon ensuring continuous sludge removal from the dust collector.
